Coach Bumann is RETIRING

After coaching cross country and track for the past ten years, Coach Tonya Bumann has decided to retire.

Coach Bumann said, "I was privileged to coach for Lake Preston, and I enjoyed it immensely."

Rhett McMasters was honored to have her in both sports.

"Tonya always pushed you to your ability and saw where your talents were," said McMasters. "In cross country, she told me that if I was running at a comfortable pace, I wasn't running hard enough."

"She coached with heart; Bumann Bootcamp was tough, but it always paid off," stated Stella DeKnikker.

"She was the person who always made me want to work harder," says Madison Perkins. "She never let me cheat myself, and she always pushed for me and everyone else on the team to do their best even if it wasn't a win."
