De Smet

Cookie walk set for Sunday

The De Smet Community Women are holding their annual cookie walk from 11 am-1pm Dec. 6 at the De Smet Event and Wellness Center. Christmas cookies and candies are sold by the pound so people can choose from a wide variety.

This year, along with selling Christmas treats, the DCW will also be serving hot ham and cheese sandwiches, hotdogs and beverages until closing or they sell out.

There will be seating available to eat and visit while safely spaced out. Santa will not be there in person this year, but children can write letters to him and drop them in Santa’s mailbox.

Attendees are asked to wear a mask, stay six feet apart and use hand sanitizer when they enter.

Businesses and individuals are still encouraged to bring Christmas trees out to display. However, there will be no judging of trees this year. Set up any time this week.
