Donations requested for youth


Oldham Legion Auxiliary held a blood drive from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on June 10 at the Oldham Fire Hall. The numbers were down this year due lack of available community support as most community members work out of town. Those who participated donated 15 units of blood.

The Oldham Potato Day celebration has been postponed this year.

The food pantry will be available from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. on July 20 at the Oldham Gym (south door). To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, certain regulations will be in place.

The Oldham Lutheran Church is holding services once again. From June through September, services will start at 10:30 a.m. St. John Lutheran Church in Ramona will be holding services at 9 a.m. from June to September as well.

Clay Misar, a son of Mike and Annita Misar of Oldham, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is receiving treatment at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls. Clay recently completed seventh grade at Oldham-Ramona School.

Accounts to help the family have been set up at Citizen’s State Bank in Arlington, Citizen’s State Bank in Sinai and Castlewood and First National Bank in Ramona. Donations can be dropped off at the banks in Ramona or Oldham. Cards can be sent to Clay at Sanford Children’s Castle, 1600 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, S.D. 57105.
