The weather has certainly been favorable for the farmers as they are busy combining soybeans and some corn. It is dry, and rain is needed. A promise of precipitation is in the weekend forecast. The fall colors are beautiful and some of our landscapes have changed from green to yellow and brown — and some black as farmers work up the harvested soybean fields. The leaves keep falling, and that leads to work raking them up, not the most favorable task.
