Indoor Country Club ready for golfers

Everyone loves golfing, and it is even better when it can be done year-round. In Lake Preston, with the opening of the Lake Preston Indoor Country Club, people will now have that opportunity. The indoor club will have two golf simulators, allowing up to four people at each simulator, whether they are hitting the driving range or playing games.

Owners Andy and Amanda Wienk wanted to bring a family-friendly activity to Lake Preston that anyone could appreciate at any time.

“We are excited to bring something new to downtown for people to enjoy, especially those that want to golf but cannot walk the course. Now, people of all ages can enjoy the sport of golf year-round,” said Wienk.

The Lake Preston Indoor Country Club will be open Monday through Friday from 4 - 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. The Wienks are currently in the process of hooking up a phone so people can schedule tee times due to the limited number of golf simulators. For $35, patrons will be able to golf for an hour. Customers are welcome to bring their own golf clubs, and clubs will be available to rent for those who do not have their own.

While golfing, patrons may also enjoy the bar and pizza that can be purchased. The Wienks hope to expand the menu as the business grows. Check out their Facebook page, Lake Preston Indoor Country Club, for more details. A grand opening is being planned for a later date.
