Mary “Jeanne” Webb


On Easter Sunday, April 4, Mary “Jeanne” Webb, adored wife, mother of three, grandmother of nine, and sister of fourteen made her final journey home to God at the age of 72.

Jeanne was born on May 25, 1948, in Iroquois, S.D., to Robert and Marge (Rounds) Blue. She graduated from Iroquois High School in 1966 and received her teaching degree on Aug. 14, 1970, from Northern State University. She married the love of her life, Richard Webb, on Aug. 15, 1970, and they raised two daughters, Kristi and Erica, and one son, Ryan. She was a beloved teacher to many in the Aberdeen Roncalli School System for 22 years.

Blessed to have shared in Jeanne’s life are her husband of 50 years, Richard of Aberdeen; their daughters, Kristi (Bill) Hauck of Sioux Falls and Erica (Bob) Belzer of Medina, Minn.; their son, Ryan (Amanda) Webb of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Tanner, Hunter, Jackson, Mia, Ari, Taige, Teigen, Tyler and Traedyn; mother, Marge Blue of Iroquois; fourteen siblings, Gary (Gaea), Terry (Mary Kay), Greg (Diane), Peggy (Dean) Maas, Rod (Patty), Connie (Dale) Cook, Karen Bohlander, Patty (Brian) Wohnoutka, Doug (PJ), Robert (Sheryl), Laurie (Mark) Gunderson, Tim (Ann), Michael (Michelle) and Steve (Shari); her in-laws, Roberta Williamson, Lawrence (Linda), Dean (Ruth) and Thomas; her lifelong friends, Terry and Pete Larson; numerous fellow teachers and students at Roncalli; friends; aunts; uncles and over 100 nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Robert Blue; mother-in-law, Irene Webb; father-in-law, Orville Webb and dear friends, Jeanne Pavlick and Pam White.
