Rain doesn’t stop the fun

The rain didn't stop families from getting out and participating in Family Night at the park.

The youth were offered ice cream and floats, along with bean bags and face painting. The Lake Preston Cafe served tacos in a bag, and Don’s Bakery was also there.

Since fall, a Christian Youth Program has been active in Lake Preston, with Moses Bolin as leader. His passion for the Lord has led him to start this program for junior high and high school boys and girls. His main goal is guiding them to have a strong relationship with God.

The group meets once a week from August - May, alternating months at either the UCC-UMC Church or the Lutheran Church. Usually, about 12 youth attend; Bolin was so appreciative of those who donated meals this year for the Youth Group.

The group is willing to do what God calls them to do in the community. So far, they have helped paint the flower pots for the city and are willing to get involved with Fun Family Nights during the summer.
