Since it looks like there will be no snow for Christmas this year, Santa had to get an early start. The reindeer simply refuse to fly without any snow. He chose a firetruck, which seems appropriate. He arrived in Carthage last Saturday and started putting all sorts of goodies in a candy cane shoot. Seemed silly at first, but, with a helper on the ground, it worked just fine. Although you can’t see Santa clearly in this photo, he was in the firetruck loading candy into the shoot. About 40 youngsters and a lot of young-at-heart folks were on hand to greet him.
