Last Wednesday evening, Duane Poppen, Aberdeen, was an overnight guest of Cork and Illdena Poppen. On Thursday he drove his parents to Sioux Falls where Cork had a doctor’s appointment. Duane returned to his home Thursday evening.

Dorothy Haug of Willow Lake and Kathy Murray of De Smet were Tuesday dinner guests of the Cork Poppen’s. Cork’s birthday was observed.

Wednesday, Duane Poppen, Aberdeen, took his parents to Watertown for a doctor’s appointment for Cork. They were met there by Janice Stoebner, Gordon and Crystal Poppen, Sioux Falls. After the appointment the group went to a local restaurant for lunch and to celebrate Cork Poppen’s 93rd birthday.

What a difference a week makes, from freezing temperatures to way above normal temperatures. I like it. The geese have arrived. Is it Spring?
