Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church Service Sunday at 10:30 a.m., 88.1 FM Radio, Live Facebook. Adult and Children Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. All welcome. Pastor Dick Poppen speaks on KWAT radio Sunday at 9:30 a.m., and Wednesday at 6 p.m. youth group, grades 1-6.

Nov: 21: Annual Meeting was at 1 p.m. with Pot-Luck Dinner following the church service.

Nov: 28: Advent Service was held at 7 p.m.

Gordon Poppen, Sioux Falls, spent a few days with his parents, the Cork Poppens. He also did some hunting with Chad Johnson, Harrisburg and Terry Johnson, Wasilla, Alaska, who were house guests of Dorothy and Craig Haug, Willow Lake.

Friday evening, Dorothy Haug, Willow Lake, Terry Johnson, Wasilla, Alaska, and Gordon Poppen, Sioux Falls were supper guests of Cork and Illdena Poppen at a restaurant in Willow Lake.

Sunday at Spirit Lake Presbyterian Service, the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes were dedicated. Sheila Poppen took charge of the Youth Group in the absence of Jerod Jordan, who attended the funeral of his aunt on Nov. 10.

Looks like we may get a little taste of winter this week. Farmers are hustling to get the corn crop in.
