Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church worship service, Sunday, 10:30 a.m. FM 88.1 – Live Facebook. Pastor Dick Poppen speaks on KWAT radio, Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Bible Study.

On Sat., June 11, Spirit Lake Church held the annual Vacation Bible School. A program and ice cream social followed. A total of 35 attended the class.

Those who helped were Sheila Poppen and Kristin Steffensen – craft leaders, Seth Poppen and Ryder Lamont – game leaders, Patti Larson – decorations, Ann Glanzer – curriculum leader, Jerod Jordon – music, Andi Wolkow – snacks, Jamie Forbes – imagination leader.

The Assembly of God Church in Clark loaned the decorations for this year's theme “’Monumental’ Celebrating God’s Creation.”

Neil Wienk of Rochester, Minn., was a weekend visitor of his mother Mary Wienk. He came especially for his 50th high school class reunion in De Smet.

The Daron Larson family were weekend visitors in Minneapolis, Minn.

Donna Jensen’s son Rocky of Rapid City took her for a drive and dinner on Saturday.

On Sunday, she joined other family members at her son Scott Jensen’s cabin at Lake Poinsett.

Tara Twait brought birthday cake on Sunday for the belated birthday of Elaine Rickert.

Dorothy Haug and Kathy Murray visited Cork and Illdena Poppen on Sunday.

Mryta Rossel’s daughter Diane Oldson took her for a drive and dinner.

Bob Sour and Maddy and Bailee Kannegieter of Willow Lake visited Harold Sour on Monday.

Janice Efraimson’s daughter Nancy Levanen visited on Tuesday.

Jayne Jensen visited her mother Myrta Rossel on Wednesday.

Some residents helped plant flowers in large containers around the building.
