Town & Country Snowdrifters’ poker run a success

On Sept. 19, thirty-seven "vehicles" partook in an adventure across the southeast portion of Kingsbury County. There were five stops: Oldham Saloon, Erickson Farm, Coon Valley Warming Hut, 1481 Grille and New Horizon Lounge. Overall, the club was able to raise $1,884.05 in donations which included some of the poker run winners donating back their winnings in support of Clay Misar. Two large boxes of non-perishable food items were collected for the pantry. In addition, more than 20 memberships were collected. Poker run winners were Scottie Hojer, first place, $440; Mike Parmely, second place, $264; and Dean Austad, third place, $176. Jack and Jeannie Colwell, above, of De Smet were among the participants.
