Turning lemons into lemonade

The annual Erwin Legion and Auxiliary fall turkey dinner was not held due to COVID. Cathy Kazmerzak Nelson and Ron Nelson turned lemons into lemonade and hosted a small family “turkey dinner” in their garage on the regular Erwin dinner date. The menu featured turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing and coleslaw along with the famous carrots! Pumpkin pie was the dessert choice. Families sat in pods and talked of harvest and hunting.
