1880: 12 farms in the county

A fourth birthday party was held for Skylar Shermon on Sunday at the Richard and Nancy Bornitz residence.

Marlin and Jeanette Clendening watched their great-granddaughter Tenley Olinger show sheep at the Jack-Pot Show held at the state fairgrounds Friday in Huron. After the show an 11th birthday party was held for Tenley at the Olinger camper. Tenley and Torree Olinger showed sheep and goats at the Spotlight Show.

Arabel Aughenbaugh, daughter of Mark and Kara Aughenbaugh, recently competed in the Kingsbury County Beginner Horse Show held at the John Coughlin arena. There were fourteen participants.

Lori Wehlander was in Mitchell Saturday, helping her daughter Hannah Wehlander move into her new classroom. Hannah will be teaching K-5 elementary music at Gertie Belle Rogers Elementary School in Mitchell, S.D.
