1902 town valuation of $1,660


A service was held at the Le Seuer Cemetery in Bancroft Sunday morning for Joyce Ondris, a Bancroft resident, with Doug Fox officiating. She had passed away at a nursing home in Custer on April 18. Her son Randy Cooper of Pringle was here for the service.

Brad Magness of Huron was the speaker at the Orthodox Presbyterian church.

In 1902, the village of Bancroft had the following owners: James Costello, L.O. Dill, Plocker and Foss, Samson Bartram, Dan Thompson, Andrew Rasmussen, Spencer Eggleston, J.W. Burdick, James Foss, John Imlay, J.P. Conroy, and Agnew and Thompson. Many of them owned multiple lots. There was also the schoolhouse and the Presbyterian Church. The entire assessed valuation of the town was $1660.
