1926: School had 50 students


Charemon and Annette Dunham served the Iroquois American Legion breakfast on opening day of pheasant hunting season.

For the first time in 60 years, there was no large group gathering of hunters on opening day at the Clendenings’.

Marlin Clendening and the Wehlanders attended the DWU fall concert in Mitchell. Hannah Wehlander is a member of the large choir and the Highlanders, DWU’s select chamber choir.

History Note

1926 – Esmond School opened in September with enrollment of 50 with 14 of those in high school.
