Scott and Shannon Johnson and family of Melbourne, Fla., were visitors last week with Shannon’s parents Dale and Barb Reilly and grandmother Adaline Reilly.

Leo, Selma and Annette Dunham attended Danish Days, held last Friday through Sunday in Viborg, S.D.

The Travis and Michelle Bornitz family met up with the Jason Holter family for supper last Wednesday in Sioux Falls.

Small grain harvest has started in the Esmond area, and a one-inch rain was received last Saturday.

Joanne Schlueter, Marilyn Skyberg and Rita Anderson, along with Joanne’s daughter Geanna DeBenedetti and granddaughter Caitlyn, are attending this week's National Baton Association (NBTA) Americas Youth on Parade (AYOP) twirling championships on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Ind. This competition will select the USA champions who will represent the United States in an upcoming world event.


1935 – Harvey Dunn, illustrator and artist from Tenafly, N.J., who lived on the banks of Redstone Creek as a boy, was visiting the Clendening families.
