Christmas party cancelled... for this year

Posted

Erik and Hannah Wehlander were home last weekend for an early Thanksgiving with their parents. Erik has been competing with the University of South Dakota Law School Alternative Dispute Resolution Board (RDA) team.

Thanksgiving turkey was delivered to the Clendenings by the Wehlanders on Sunday.

Charemon and Annette Dunham attended the Iroquois Legion meeting last week, and Charemon presented the Bensley-Rounds Iroquois American Legion #280 Teacher of the Year Award to Sarah Heffner, the fourth-grade teacher in Iroquois.

An Esmond Community Christmas party will not be held this year; this is an event that has been held since 1993, with the first one at the Sana Trading Post. Next year it will be held. Stay healthy!

History Note

March 1947 – The Carthage High School Band, The Glee Clubs, two soloists, a trio and a duet came to Esmond Saturday night to present a Farm Bureau program, with lunch after the program. It was reported that the students enjoyed it and want to do it again.
