Hope D. Clark, 79, of Lake Norden, S.D., passed away Wed., Dec. 2, 2020, at Avantara in Lake Norden. Private family funeral services were held on Tues., Dec. 8, 2020, and live-streamed through the Geise Funeral Home Facebook page.
Hope Diann Andrews was born on Jan. 25, 1941, in Estelline, S.D., the youngest of 12 children, to Andrew and Dena (Roesen) Andrews. She attended country school at Cleveland District 4 near Lake Norden. She spent many years working as a waitress in Lake Norden. She was united in marriage to Larry Clark on Jan. 13, 1973. The couple had two children, David and Linda. Hope also spent many summers and weekends singing and playing in the family’s country band.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Scott) Currence of Hayti; daughter-in-law, Kaylene Clark of Lake Norden; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Lane and Dalton; two brothers, Elwood (Gayle) Andrews of Lake Norden and James (Marla) Andrews of Lake Preston; her sister, Jane Espland of Lake Preston; three sisters-in-law, Margie Clark of Castlewood, Janet Mobley of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Janet Andrews of Lake Norden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son, David; five brothers, Franklin, Earl, Clarence, Alfred and Roger and three sisters, Irene, Esther and Violet.
