Iroquois High School Student of the Month: Harley Nelson


Aspiring to be a cosmetologist

What’s your favorite subject and why? Plant science, because I get to learn so many things about not only plants but agriculture that I maybe didn’t know.

Why is school important to you?
It prepares me for my future, and I learn what to expect for when I get older and start doing things on my own.

Who do you look up to and why? ​
I look up to my parents because they have taught me who I am today, and they continue to support and encourage me to do things I love to do.

Aspiring to be a photographer

What is your favorite subject and why?​
Art because I love to draw.

Why is school important to you?
I learn new things every day.

Who do you look up to and why?​
I look up to Harley because I always hang out with her, and I just want to be like her.

Students of the month are selected by Iroquois school staff. The student must be working to potential, participate in the classroom and exhibit positive behaviors and relationships.
