Lady Bulldogs

Lady Dogs win at Classic

De Smet vs Iroquois/Doland

On a blustery, cold Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs headed to the Huron Holiday Classic to take on Iroquois/Doland for the first game of the day. The Lady Bulldogs took the start with the tipoff from Kennadi Buchholz, going to Mackenzie Zell and then to Emma Albrecht for two and didn't let up after that. De Smet moved the ball around well, looking for good shots, driving to the basket and denying the ball throughout the game. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Buchholz with 26 points, and the Lady Chiefs were led by Katie Dubro with 16 points.

De Smet vs Deuel

Starting the new year, the Lady Bulldogs took on Deuel in a double header Mon., Jan. 4. The Lady Bulldogs were off to a slow start in the first quarter but turned things around and outscored Deuel 18-4 in the second quarter. They started pushing the ball up the court quickly and worked the ball around and into Kennadi Buchholz before the defense was able to get set.

The Lady Bulldogs played great defense, especially in the second and third quarters, which held the Cardinals to only four points in the second and scoreless in the third. Ball movement, great defense and teamwork combined for the win!

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Emma Albrecht with 19 points, 11 rebounds, while Buchholz contributed 10 points, six rebounds. The Cardinals were led by Haley Winter and Harley Hennings with 11 points each.

The Lady Bulldogs JV won 26-13.
