Iroquois preschool students set eggs in an incubator in their classroom, keeping track of the development and, using calendars, counting down the days until the chicks hatched. They learned that oviparous animals lay eggs and viviparous animals have live babies. The chicks hatched last week, and the children enjoyed them while at school. Lanna Houghtaling, left, Kaebrey Brown, Daxton Frankfurth, Savannah Driggers, Finly Dunsworth, Sammy Bretz and Isabelle Rose watch the hatchlings in the brooding box.
