Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church Worship Service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. FM Radio 88.1, Live Facebook. Adult and children’s Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. All welcome. Pastor Dick Poppen speaks on KWAT radio Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday Youth Group from 6 to 8 p.m. as weather permits.

Jason and Amber Burns, Keiton and Makenna, Sioux Falls, visited their grandparents Cork and Illdena Poppen on Friday. They took them to Willow Lake that evening for supper at the local café. They returned later that evening.

On Sun., March 20 after church services at Spirit Lake Church, in honor of Cork and Illdena Poppen’s 72nd wedding anniversary, coffee and cake were served by their children, Duane and Doris Poppen, Aberdeen, Gordon and Chrystal Poppen, Russ and Janice Stoebner, Sioux Falls.

Also attending were grandchildren Jeff, Tanya and Kason Poppen, Tyler and Brody Poppen, Watertown, Dorothy Haug, Willow Lake, and Kathy Murray, De Smet.

Later, they all had dinner at a local café in De Smet.

What great weather this past week. Have you seen all the geese? Some fields were all white with flocks.

Congratulations to the De Smet Boys Basketball Team for winning the State Class B Championship. We witnessed the motor brigade Sunday as they returned home from Aberdeen.

Polina Helder, wife of Ben Helder, son of Dennis and Susan Helder, Volga, is accepting donations for assistance in Ukraine. Donations will be distributed to Ukrainians at Polina’s discretion.
