Iroquois High School Blood Drive nets 37 units

On Wed., May 4, Iroquois High School held a blood drive, collecting 37 units of blood. This has the potential to help up to 111 patients. The blood drive was sponsored by HOSA and led by Daphne Moeller.

We also celebrate the following donors: Michael Ruth from Huron has donated one gallon, and Victoria Dant of Huron reached her two-gallon milestone with their most recent donation.

Thanks to everyone who came out to show their support. We could not help save patients' lives without the donors.

The next blood drive in De Smet is scheduled for Tues., July 5, from 1 - 5:30 p.m. at the Event & Wellness Center. Please call LifeServe Blood Center at (800) 287-4903 or go to www.lifeservebloodcenter.org to schedule an appointment.

Monthly Blood Donation Fact: Red blood cells can be stored for up to 42 days.
