Janet Sue Fahnert, 78, of Amarillo, Texas, died May 14, 2022. Services were held Tues., May 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East, with Kevin Dotson officiating. The family received friends Mon., May 16, 2022, at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Hale Center, Texas, to Robbie and Annie Kisselburg.
She leaves behind her husband, the love of her life of 59 years, Roger D. Fahnert, and her children, who loved her more than she ever knew. Jan loved God, and she shared that with everyone that she knew and met. There could never be any doubt about her love of God. She loved her church family, and they were exactly that, family! Children were precious to her. She worked many years at a school cafeteria, and she always referred to each child as her children. She was also involved in children’s ministry. It was very important to her that the children she met knew about God and how much He loved them.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; two daughters, Rebecca Waller and her husband Troy, and Rhonda Siefker and her husband Michael; a son, Roger Fahnert, Jr. and his wife Penny; nine grandchildren who were her pride and joy, (T.J.) Troy, Mehgan, Kristin, Sarah, Sidney, Roger, Ali, Preston and Cole; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons Johnathan and Justin, whom she missed every day, three sisters and two brothers.
