Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church Sunday Service at 10:30 a.m., 88.1 FM Radio, Live Facebook. All welcome. Pastor Dick Poppen speaks on KWAT radio Sunday at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday 6 p.m. youth group, grades 1-6. Christmas Program practice Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Visitors of Cork and Illdena Poppen this past week were Nicole Tonak, Larry and Gayland Grensberg, Dorothy Haug, Willow Lake, Darwin Wendel, Minnesota, and John and Margaret Kinder, De Smet.

Dorothy Haug, Willow Lake, and Kathy Murray, De Smet, joined Cork and Illdena Poppen on Wednesday to celebrate Dorothy’s birthday. Dorothy served cake and ice cream. The afternoon was spent playing cards at the Poppen’s.

Ann Larson joined her mother Leone Kannegieter, Willow Lake, on a trip to Aberdeen on Thursday for the burial of John Kannegieter’s remains.

December has brought us snow and cold temperatures. Most of the corn harvest has been completed.

New tables have been purchased for the Fellowship Hall of Spirit Lake Church. The tables are a gift from Dianne Larson in memory of her mother, Elaine Schwader.
